Updated October 2026
This page is for people flying into Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) for a conference at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. It covers the three trips an attendee actually takes: the arrival transfer to a Downtown hotel or the hall, the days in between, and the ride back to the airport on the last day. If you only need a single PIT to Downtown quote for any reason, the PIT to Downtown route page is the shorter read.
Conferences at the convention center, mid-October to mid-November
These dates come from the venue's own events calendar, and the AVS date from the organizer's site. The convention center sits at 1000 Fort Duquesne Boulevard. Confirm session times with each organizer.

The venue calendar we checked listed no conference after WITCON in November and showed nothing for December 2026 at the time of writing. We left out consumer shows and sporting events, which have their own travel patterns. Several of these meetings run back to back, so hotels near the hall fill quickly and arrival-day airport curbs are busier than usual.
Arrival day: PIT to a Downtown hotel or the hall
Send your flight number when you book, plus the hotel name or the convention center entrance you want. Dispatch uses the flight to plan the pickup rather than a guessed landing time. The airport's ground transportation page places rideshare pickup across the road from Door 7 on the Ground Level and lists a Commercial Curb at Door 9 for commercial operators. Your confirmation gives your own meeting point, so follow it rather than a map from an earlier trip.
We do not publish a fixed drive time from PIT to the Golden Triangle. The route normally runs on the Parkway West, and conference-week traffic, tunnel approaches and the hour you land all change it. The written quote carries the timing plan. If your hotel check-in opens later than your landing time, ask for a short stop or wait to be written into the transfer, or have the car take you straight to the hall for a first session and move the bags later.
Group arrivals
When several colleagues land on the same day, the choice is one larger vehicle or several cars timed to each flight. A Sprinter plans for up to 12 passengers and 12 bags and suits a team on one flight. Colleagues on different flights are better served by separate sedans or SUVs, each tied to its own flight, because a waiting van costs more than a second car. Send a list with names, flights, bag counts and the hotel for each person, and dispatch builds one reservation per arrival. For a speaker or executive, add a mobile number so the chauffeur can reach them directly.
The days in between: multi-day hourly
For a conference that runs several days, hourly charter keeps one vehicle class and a known plan for each day. Typical uses are a morning run from the hotel to the hall, a client dinner, and an evening return. Waiting inside a reserved block is included, and the three-hour minimum applies to each block. If a day is only a morning drop-off and an evening pickup, two separate transfers usually cost less than a long block with the car idle. Name the event and the entrance when you book so the chauffeur knows where to stop. The convention center posts a 7 foot 8 inch clearance on its parking garage, so ask dispatch where a Sprinter will stop.
Last day: back to PIT
Work backward from your flight. Your airline sets its check-in and security cutoffs, so start from those rather than from the departure time, then add the drive and a margin for Downtown traffic when the final session lets out. Ask for the pickup time to be set from the end of your last session. If it is a closing keynote with a hard flight afterward, say so on the booking. Bags checked out of the hotel can ride with you, so tell dispatch the bag count. Early-morning departures need after-hours coverage confirmed on the quote.
Rates
Hourly service is $120 per hour for a sedan and $150 for an SUV, each with a three-hour minimum. Sedan and SUV quotes include chauffeur gratuity and applicable service and card fees. S-Class and Sprinter hourly service starts at $230 and $240 per hour, also with a three-hour minimum, and the booking form confirms the final price for those two classes. The final price can vary with taxes, tolls and availability. Point-to-point transfers, including a PIT arrival, start at $130 for a sedan and $160 for an SUV, and the written quote sets the fare for your hotel or venue, vehicle and time. Tolls, parking and airport fees are listed on the quote when they apply.
How to book
Use the booking form or call dispatch. For a conference trip, send traveler names, flights in and out, the hotel, the event and its dates, passenger and bag counts, and the pickup address for each leg. We arrange and manage your ride from the confirmation through drop-off, and you receive the chauffeur's details before you land.
